Enock Agyepong Sparks New Fire in Lumba’s Ongoing Marital Saga

Ghana’s entertainment scene is once again active as fresh commentary emerges about the ongoing marital saga of Highlife icon Daddy Lumba. Industry figure Enock Agyepong has sparked new conversations after sharing bold opinions on the recent court ruling and its implications.

According to  Mr Agyepong, the narrative suggested by the current court decision presents “a big problem,” insisting that Akosua Serwah, who has long been recognised as Lumba’s legally married partner, should push the matter to the Appeals Court with stronger evidence to solidify her case.

He maintains that if Lumba no longer desired the marriage, “he should have filed for divorce,” arguing that until that legal process happens, their union remains valid — a factor that directly challenges the public perception around Odo Broni’s position.

Agyepong, however, acknowledges that Odo Broni — known publicly for her years of loyalty, companionship, and service to the legendary musician — also “deserves something,” regardless of whatever Lumba’s final will might state. He emphasises that this case presents an important legal study for Ghana’s entertainment and marital law landscape.

He further urged Lawyer William Kusi to champion the push for clarity, suggesting that “the law must be tested to the very end” so that future generations understand where customary and statutory marriages stand in complex celebrity relationships.

In a more humorous jab, Agyepong rounded off his statement by advising controversial musician Papa Shee to “shut up and allow us to breathe,” a comment that has since sent social media into laughter and debate.

As Lumba’s marital issues continue to dominate entertainment headlines,  Ghana is watching closely, the industry is learning, and the final outcome may reshape how celebrity relationships are understood and protected under the law.
