Energy Minister Assures Stable Power Supply in Kumasi

Residents of Kumasi and its surrounding areas can expect a stable power supply starting today, according to Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor. Following a tour of the affected areas, the minister gave his assurance to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, that there will be no load shedding in the enclave.

During his visit, Minister Jinapor acknowledged the recent power challenges that have affected businesses and households in Kumasi.

He reassured residents that the government and relevant energy sector agencies have taken concrete steps to resolve the issues, ensuring a consistent and reliable power supply moving forward.

Speaking after his meeting with the Asantehene, the minister emphasized that ongoing technical improvements and infrastructure upgrades in the region’s power distribution system will prevent further disruptions.

He assured the traditional ruler and the people of Kumasi that the government remains committed to delivering stable electricity to support economic activities and improve the quality of life for residents.

The assurance comes amid growing concerns over intermittent power outages, which have sparked frustration among businesses and individuals. With the minister’s pledge, expectations are high that Kumasi will see a significant improvement in its electricity supply, bringing much-needed relief to the enclave.
