Michael Baidoo made his Black Stars debut after making a cameo from the bench in Ghana’s goalless stalemate against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 25-year-old Elfsborg star replaced Atalanta midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana as the Black Stars chased a late winner against a resilient Sudan side.
Baidoo who was handed a late invitation to the team following the withdrawal of four players from the initial 25-man squad, including captain Thomas Partey.
Despite lasting 10 minutes the Elsborg Star showed glimpses of quality. Baidoo joined the attack helping the Black Stars create several chances in the final minutes of the game.
The four-time African champions remain third in Group F with just two points in three games.
