Education Ministry Reschedules 2026/2027 CSSPS Results Release to September 4

The Ministry of Education has rescheduled the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results from Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, 2026, following requests from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for additional time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ data.

The Ministry, in a press release, said the additional time will enable qualified students to complete the required processes and ensure their information is properly captured on the platforms of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the CSSPS for placement into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

According to the Ministry, its data indicates that approximately 20,000 qualified students have not yet had their school choices uploaded onto the CSSPS platform by Heads of Schools, parents or guardians.

The Ministry explained that the extension is intended to ensure that pending submissions do not prevent the affected students from participating in the placement process. It said the decision is aimed at giving all qualified students a fair opportunity to complete the necessary requirements before the placement results are released.

Parents, guardians and Heads of Schools have therefore been strongly urged to take advantage of the extension period to submit and upload all outstanding information within the stipulated timeframe.

The Ministry of Education said it remains committed to ensuring a fair, transparent, efficient and orderly placement process that gives every qualified student a meaningful opportunity to secure placement in a Senior High School or TVET institution.

The 2026/2027 CSSPS placement results will now be released on Friday, September 4, 2026, instead of the previously scheduled date of August 31.
