The former Mayor of Tema, Kempis Ofosuware has complemented the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG for their immense support in the improved street lightening system in the metropolis.
Speaking on Ahotor FM Morning Show with host, Onantefour Addae-Mununkum, the former mayor who applauded his effort in the field of electrification in his tenure stated that the industrial metropolitan city was bedeviled with insecurity.
Kempis also stated that the lightening system in Tema was very poor which sparked his initiative to collaborate with the then director of the Electricity Company, Mr. Cerphas Kato to improve the system.
“The then director with collaboration from my office helped with such improvement. The company provided thousand meters of cables that helped with the street lightening”
“During my tenure most of the major streets had lightening facilities which helped curbed crime in the metropolis”, He stated.
