A tragic domestic incident has left residents of Kade Abease in shock after a man allegedly killed his girlfriend before committing suicide.
The deceased man has been identified as Samuel Arthur, while the woman is Deborah, with whom he had been cohabiting. According to reports, the couple, originally from Takorase near Kade, had lived together at Kade Abease for about four months.
Speaking to the Assemblyman of the area, it was revealed that Samuel Arthur worked at a cold store in the community. The relationship reportedly became strained following a misunderstanding, prompting Deborah to relocate to Kasoa.
On her return to Kade Abease to collect her personal belongings, an argument allegedly ensued. Reports indicate that Samuel Arthur locked the door and assaulted Deborah with a piece of wood, leading to her death. He later took his own life by hanging.
The police have since visited the scene and conveyed both bodies to the Kade Government Hospital Mortuary as investigations continue.
