Dr. Tengol K. Kplemani Lands Prestigious Continental Tourism Ambassador Role

Ghanaian cultural strategist and founder of the Sister Kingdom Network, Dr. Tengol K. Kplemani, has added another remarkable achievement to his growing list of accomplishments after being appointed Ambassador for Africa by the Countrystyle Community Tourism Network (CCTN/Villages as Businesses), with endorsement from the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism (IIPT).

The appointment, announced on June 24, 2026, recognizes Dr. Kplemani’s dedication to promoting African culture, heritage, tourism, traditional leadership, and strengthening ties between Africa and the global African diaspora.

The prestigious appointment was jointly endorsed by Diana McIntyre-Pike, Founder and President of CCTN/VAB, alongside Ajay Prakash, President of IIPT, and Dr. Louis D’Amore, Founder of IIPT.

Over the years, Dr. Kplemani has built a reputation as a leading advocate for cultural diplomacy and Pan-African unity through his Sister Kingdom Network initiative. His contributions include expanding Africa’s digital music and entertainment ecosystem, creating strategic partnerships across the continent and the diaspora, and establishing platforms such as the Cultural Oneness Festival.

As Africa Ambassador, Dr. Kplemani is expected to serve as a vital link between Africa, the Caribbean, and the wider diaspora, promoting community tourism, cultural exchange, youth empowerment, heritage preservation, and sustainable development.

Speaking after the announcement, Dr. Kplemani described the appointment as both an honour and a responsibility.

“Africa possesses extraordinary cultural wealth, traditional wisdom, and creative potential that can serve as powerful tools for peace building, economic empowerment, and global unity,” he stated.

Industry observers believe the appointment further cements Ghana’s growing influence in global cultural tourism and creative industry development.

With this new role, Dr Kplemani will represent and promote the vision of peace through tourism across Africa and beyond while championing initiatives that connect communities through culture, heritage, and economic empowerment.

The appointment reflects a shared commitment to using culture, tourism, and the creative industries as vehicles for sustainable development, international cooperation, and lasting peace.
