The clash involving Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko opens a new chapter in the rivalry between Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, head coach of Asante Kotoko and Samuel Boadu, head coach of Berekum Chelsea.

Their rivalry dates back to four seasons ago, Samuel Boadu then on the books of Accra Hearts of Oak appeared fierce and vocal in matchups against Dr. Prosper Narteh. Boadu’s antics and aggressiveness sharply contrasted with Dr.Ogum’s gentility.

The numbers are in favour of Samuel Boadu in terms of matchups against Dr Ogum. Last season, Samuel Boadu following his return to coaching with Berekum Chelsea kept it going with a 2-1 win against Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum’s Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
