Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the immediate past National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged party supporters and volunteers to intensify efforts in helping John Mahama secure victory in the upcoming December 7th elections.
He emphasized that the final days leading to the election are critical and require every member to work diligently.
Speaking on Ahotor FM’s morning show ‘Adekyee Mu Nsem’ with host Citizen Kofi Owusu, Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo shared that despite not feeling well, he has personally volunteered to campaign for John Mahama, visiting remote villages in the Eastern Region, some without electricity, to gather support.
“I’ve volunteered for John Mahama, visiting villages with no lights and using car lights to communicate our message. We all need to step up and do the same,” he said.
He also urged party members to be vigilant, work harder in the final stretch of the campaign, and rally voters through the newly launched “Get Out The Voters for Mahama” (G.O.T.V 4 MAHAMA) movement, aimed at maximizing voter turnout for the NDC.
“My suggestion is that we should all volunteer, regardless of whether someone asks for your help or not. Even if someone is stopping you to work, just remind yourself that you’re a volunteer for Mahama.
At this stage, there’s a political strategy called ‘Get Out The Vote’ (GOTV), which we need to adopt in the final days before the elections. Based on my track record, I consider myself a volunteer GOTV for Mahama, meaning I’m a volunteer committed to getting voters to the polls for him.” Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo said.
