Veteran politician and founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has launched a scathing critique of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stating emphatically that he lacks the courage and independence needed to lead the party into the future.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe questioned Dr. Bawumia’s leadership qualities and political conviction, arguing that the former Presidential candidate has consistently shown a tendency to bend to political manipulation rather than stand firm on principles.
“Dr. Bawumia is not a courageous leader. He does not have the spine to rise above manipulation and external control,” said the outspoken statesman. “Such a person cannot and should not lead a party like the NPP, which has always prided itself on integrity, bold leadership, and independent thinking.”
The retired army officer and former diplomat further warned that the party risks losing its identity and direction if it continues to elevate leaders who lack strong moral and political backbone.
“Leadership is not about slogans or digital platforms; it is about courage, conviction, and the ability to stand alone, if necessary,” he added.
Founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe challenge the legitimacy and preparedness of the party’s former presidential candidate Dr. Bawumia.
