Dr Bawumia doesn’t have the capacity to be President – Sofo Kyiriabosom.

Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Sofo Kyiriabosom the founder and leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), has criticized the governing New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, highlighting what he perceives as his inadequacy to lead the country as president.

Speaking during his campaign tour ahead of the 2024 elections, Sofo Kyiriabosom questioned Bawumia’s capability as a leader, describing him as not a deep thinker who can effectively address the country’s challenges.

He criticized Bawumia’s track record as Vice President and chairman of the Economic Management Team, accusing him of contributing to the collapse of Ghana’s economy.

Rev. Andrews mocked Bawumia’s recent campaign promises, particularly his emphasis on building toilets, arguing that such priorities are misplaced when people are struggling to afford basic necessities.

He called on the government to address the real suffering of the people, urging them to act responsibly not just because of the upcoming elections, but out of genuine leadership.

Sofo Kyiriabosom’s comments reflect his broader critique of the current administration’s approach to governance, advocating for more thoughtful and people-centered policies.
