The Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Council, who also serves as the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Osagyefo Oseadeayo Dr. Agyemang Badu II, has announced a significant initiative aimed at enhancing road infrastructure within the Dormaa Traditional area and the Bono region at large.
He disclosed that he has procured road construction equipment, which will be utilized for the development and construction of roads throughout his jurisdiction.
This announcement was made during the Bono Regional Minister’s courtesy visit to him at the Abanpredase Palace, following his return from a working visit to China.
Osagyefo Oseadeayo Dr. Agyemang Badu II underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in national development, asserting that the government alone cannot achieve this goal. Therefore, he is committed to providing every available means to support the rapid growth and progress of the country, particularly in the Bono Region emphasizing that his efforts are aimed at addressing longstanding transportation challenges to facilitate smoother transit.
Osagyefo Oseadeayo Dr Agyemang Badu II took the opportunity to commend the NDC government for the “Big Push” initiatives aimed at ensuring the construction of roads in the country and urged the Bono Regional Minister to accelerate the construction of the “Big Push” captured roads within the region which are the Berekum to Sampa, Berekum- seikwa and the Sampa -Nsawkaw roads.
He therefore expressed a deep sense of worry and concern over the consistent pattern of politicians making grand promises during their campaigns but ultimately failing to fulfill them once they are elected into office stressing that the recurring theme of “promise and fail” isbtroubling to him, as it reflects a broader issue of mistrust and disillusionment among the electorate emphasizing that it is highly disturbing and disheartening to observe this opportunistic behavior, where politicians only choose to embark on and prioritize developmental projects when elections are on the horizon, such as during the general elections and by-elections.
