Don Jazzy Appoints Tega Oghenejobo as New President of Mavin Records

Tega Oghenejobo has been officially named the new President of Mavin Records. He has been part of the global record label since it was founded in 2012.

On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, announced Tega’s new role. In a post on his X account (formerly Twitter), Don Jazzy shared that Tega’s responsibilities have grown; he now serves as both Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President of the esteemed label.

Don Jazzy expressed pride in recognizing Tega’s passion and resilience from the very beginning. He stated, “I’m excited to announce @TEGAMAVIN’s expanded role as President and COO of Mavin. While I often receive praise for identifying and nurturing superstars, I can claim that my greatest achievement was recognizing Tega’s dedication and determination early on.” Don Jazzy added, “I’ve seen him exhibit curiosity about the business, build effective teams, develop leaders, and ensure our talents start with sustainable careers.

His relentless commitment to advancing Mavin and shaping the future of African music instills confidence in me that, with him in this new position, we will continue to reach new heights and achieve significant milestones for our artists and the company.” In response to his appointment, Tega expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m honored to take on the role of President & COO of Mavin Records.
