
Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to a 125-111 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring 38 points on 12-of-24 shooting.
Jimmy Butler added 20 points and nine rebounds in his second game with the Warriors, while Buddy Hield contributed 16 points. Milwaukee, playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo for the fifth consecutive game, was led by Damian Lillard’s 38 points and seven assists despite his 10 turnovers. Kyle Kuzma and Taurean Prince scored 21 and 19 points respectively.
The game was competitive early, with the Warriors holding a narrow 58-51 lead at halftime and an 89-83 lead entering the fourth quarter. Golden State asserted control in the final period, including a 20-4 run that solidified their win.
The Warriors snapped a five-game losing streak in Milwaukee, and the teams will face off again on March 18 in San Francisco.
Stephen Curry has been named a starter in the 74th NBA All-Star Game, which will take place at Chase Center on Sunday, Feb. 16. This marks Curry’s 11th All-Star nod (10th start), passing Paul Arizin for the most All-Star selections in Warriors’ franchise history.
Furthermore, Curry was honoured as the 5-on-5 Male Athlete of the Year by USA Basketball after leading the national squad to a gold medal in the Paris Olympics.
