The Ablekuma North Municipal Director of Education, Ebenezer Perry Ofori, has disclosed that approximately 3,000 students from the Kwashieman cluster of schools have been left deeply traumatized following a devastating fire that engulfed their school building.
The incident, which occurred in the heart of the academic term, has disrupted the educational journey of these young learners, leaving them without classrooms, teaching materials, and a safe learning environment.
According to eyewitness accounts, the blaze swept through the structure with alarming speed, reducing entire sections of the school to rubble and ashes.
Parents, teachers, and community members are grappling with the aftermath, expressing concern over the psychological and emotional toll the disaster has taken on the children.
Many students reportedly watched helplessly as their classrooms, books, and belongings were consumed by the inferno.
