Nigerian music sensation Davido has revealed that his much-anticipated white wedding is scheduled to take place this August.
Speaking in a recent interview, the award-winning artist shared that preparations are in full swing for the grand event.
He jokingly added that the particular day in August should be declared a public holiday, hinting at the magnitude of the celebration.
Although proudly Nigerian, Davido mentioned that the wedding will be held in Miami and shared his excitement about the event in an interview.
Davido and Chioma met while studying at Babcock University and began dating in 2015. Their relationship became public in 2018 when Davido released the song “Assurance” for Chioma and gifted her a Porsche on her birthday.
They got engaged in September 2019 and welcomed their son, Ifeanyi, in October that same year. Although they planned to marry in 2020, the wedding was postponed due to the pandemic.
In 2022, they suffered the tragic loss of their son. Despite challenges, they got legally married in a private ceremony in 2023, and in June 2024, they held a grand traditional wedding in Lagos, Nigeria.
