Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that Black Sherif is currently the Ghanaian artiste he is enjoying the most, praising the award-winning musician for his talent and recent success.
Speaking during a live stream with popular Nigerian content creator Carter Efe, also known as Machala, Davido expressed his admiration for Black Sherif while discussing his latest album.
According to the singer, Black Sherif’s contribution to the album made a strong impression on him, describing the Ghanaian star as the artiste he is “rocking with” at the moment.
“Black Sherif. He’s on my album, Black Sherif man. Obviously, Stonebwoy is my very good friend; we are basically family, but right now I am rocking with Black Sherif,” Davido said.
While reaffirming his close relationship with Stonebwoy, whom he described as family, Davido explained that Black Sherif’s current form has caught his attention.
The Nigerian hitmaker also singled out Black Sherif’s song “Amazing Grace,” revealing that it was one of the standout tracks he listened to during his album listening session.
“Amazing Grace, the song is number one in Ghana now. When we were doing my album listening, that’s what I watched first,” he added.
Davido’s endorsement is yet another major boost for Black Sherif, whose music continues to gain international recognition and solidify his place as one of Africa’s fastest-rising stars.
