The Nigerian global sensation will feature on the remix of the track by Mr. Pilato, Ego Slimflow, and Tebogo G Mashego, following a viral clip of him dancing to the song on social media.
Released in November 2024, the original track also includes South African hitmaker Focalistic, with whom Davido previously collaborated on the chart-topping remixes of “Ke Star” and “Champion Sound.”
This collaboration marks Davido’s first of 2025, and it will precede the release of his highly anticipated album 5ive.
The five-time Grammy nominee’s latest partnership with South African artists continues his rich history of successful collaborations, which includes hits like “Tchelete” with Mafikizolo, “The Sound” with DJ Buck and Uhuru, and “Juice Back” with Nasty C.
“Bibi Marung” has already seen significant commercial success, accumulating over 17 million streams on Spotify and dominating South African charts. Davido’s guest verse is expected to give the track even more momentum.
2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Davido, who was recently nominated for the 67th Grammy Awards for Best African Music Performance.
He will drop his fifth album, 5ive, on March 15, preceded by singles “Awuke” featuring YG Marley and “Funds” with OdumoduBlvck and Chike.
Additionally, Omah Lay has confirmed his feature on the album, which Davido has called his best work to date.
