Heart of Lions assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei is confident his side can secure all three points when they host Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Nii Adjei has taken charge of the team following the departure of head coach Kasim Gokyldiz and made an immediate impact last weekend, guiding the Kpando-based side to a 2-1 victory over Bechem United.
Ahead of their Week 10 encounter against the Phobians, the assistant coach expressed confidence in his team’s preparations, insisting that his players are working hard to execute their game plan and secure a positive result.
“We are preparing very well. All the players are working hard to get the nod to start the match on Sunday. So, we are working hard, and we are all working on a plan to use on Sunday. I think if the plan works on Sunday, we will get something from the match,” he told Heart of Lions TV.
Nii Adjei also believes the victory over Bechem United has provided his players with a significant confidence boost ahead of Sunday’s challenging encounter.
“Winning our last game has brought the confidence of the players up. I believe this win will also boost us and give us a lot of energy and encouragement to face Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday.”
Heart of Lions will be looking to build on their recent victory when they welcome the Phobians in what promises to be an exciting Week 10 fixture.
The match is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, at the University of Ghana Stadium, with kick-off set for 3:00 pm.
