Daddy Bosco, the director of special projects at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), emphasized the significant impact of music on the economy compared to sports.
He highlighted the importance of prioritizing musicians and their crafts. MUSIGA plans to introduce a minimum wage system to support its members financially.
Daddy Bosco urged all musicians to acknowledge and support the Musicians Union of Ghana in order to unite the industry and gain the respect it deserves.
He also emphasized the positive impact of music on the perception of Nigeria and urged musicians to join the union and push for its advancement.
“I remember 10 years ago when you mentioned Nigeria, the first thing that came to mind was 419. But now, when you think of Nigeria, you see a pride in their music and the creative arts.
“It’s important for musicians to realize that they need to join the musician’s union and work together. Next year, MUSIGA will be 50 years old.”
