Accra, Ghana – President of the Czech Republic, H.E. Petr Pavel, has described Ghana as a natural partner to the Czech Republic, emphasizing the need for the two countries to collaborate in order to improve the lives of their people.
Speaking at the Czech-Ghana Business Cooperation Seminar at the Mövenpick Hotel on Wednesday, April 8, President Pavel highlighted the vast potential for investment in various sectors in Ghana.
He pointed out that there are numerous opportunities for collaboration, from food processing to satellite technology.
“A number of areas that were, many of them mentioned here, from food processing up to the satellites. And I believe that here in Ghana, we find good opportunities for all of these areas,” he said.
The President commended Ghana for its stability, not only within its borders but also in fostering stability across the African continent.
“Ghana is a natural partner to the Czech Republic, a country with high democratic standards, vibrant civil society, great economy, a lot of natural resources, conditions for agriculture, but also a country that is not only stable itself, but also creates conditions for stability in the region,” he noted.
In a world where instability is increasingly prevalent, President Pavel expressed confidence in Ghana’s role as a pillar of stability and cooperation.
“And that’s why it is a natural partner to create these little islands of stability, goodwill, and cooperation in the world that is increasingly unstable,” he added.
H.E. Petr Pavel is currently in Ghana for a three-day state visit, which runs from Tuesday, April 8 to Thursday, April 10, 2025.
This visit underscores the growing diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
