National Road Safety Authority CEO and Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Amaliba, has strongly criticized the current leadership of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), suggesting that the party has lost its direction and is unlikely to present a strong front in the future elections.
Speaking in a recent interview, Amaliba expressed doubts about the NPP’s ability to remain competitive in the 2028 polls, citing what he describes as a lack of vision and coordination among its top leaders.
“The current NPP leadership has clearly lost focus. From all indications, I am not sure they are in a position to contest the next elections strongly,” he stated. According to him, Ghanaians are increasingly disillusioned with the government’s previous performance, especially in areas of economic management, governance, and corruption.
National Road Safety Authority boss, and member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Amaliba further argued that the internal wrangling within the NPP and the disconnect between leadership and grassroots members point to a party in crisis.
“What we are seeing now is a party that is more concerned about power than actually solving the party’s pressing issues,” he added.
