Ghanaian rapper and businessman Criss Waddle has found himself at the center of social media drama after claiming he was the first Ghanaian musician to support Black Sherif. The AMG Business boss made this statement after a fan on X (formerly Twitter) questioned why he had not publicly promoted Black Sherif’s new album, Iron Boy.
Responding to the fan’s remark, Waddle did not hold back. He expressed his frustration, reminding critics that he had been a strong supporter of Black Sherif from the very beginning. “I was the first musician to support Black Sherif before most of you even knew about him,” Waddle fired back.
His comment quickly ignited heated debates online, with some users applauding him for his contributions while others accused him of seeking unnecessary validation. “Supporting someone is great, but why the need to announce it now?” one user replied.
However, Waddle was not done yet. He went on to explain that his support for Black Sherif was genuine and not just for social media clout. He claimed that when Black Sherif was still on the come-up, he recognized his talent and gave him encouragement behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, Black Sherif has remained silent on the matter, focusing on the promotion of Iron Boy, which is already making waves in Ghana and beyond.
As the debate continues, one thing is clear: the world of Ghanaian entertainment is never short of drama. Will Criss Waddle’s claim be acknowledged by Black Sherif, or will this remain another heated social media moment? Time will tell.
