Private Legal Practitioner and a Communication Team Member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alexander Twum Barima has indicated that despite the economic hardship in the country, a coup de tat is not the solution to Ghana’s woes.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Ahotoronline.com, he pleaded to the military not to think of embarking on anything as such for better governance will come from the NDC come 2025.
According to him, “A coup does not know the opposition party or party in power but brings destruction and brings the country backward so we do not need such in a country like Ghana”.
He indicated that most of the people in countries that have experienced coups are not happy but cannot reverse their decision because it has already happened.
He called on the government to do the needful because what brings a coup in a country is corruption, hardship, insecurity, etc.
