Concerned Drivers Urge NPA to Probe Fuel Price Increases at Shell and TotalEnergies Stations

The Regional Executives of the Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana (C-DAG) have called on the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) and other relevant stakeholders to urgently investigate recent fuel price increases at some filling stations, particularly outlets operated by Shell and TotalEnergies across the country.

According to the association, its monitoring has revealed that the pump price of fuel, which was previously selling at GH¢15.60 per litre, has increased to approximately GH¢15.90 per litre, despite the fact that the current pricing window has not officially been reviewed or opened for an upward adjustment.

The association expressed concern that the unexpected increase is placing an additional burden on commercial drivers, transport operators, and the general public, who are already struggling with rising living costs and operational expenses.

C-DAG is therefore calling on the NPA to investigate the circumstances surrounding the price adjustments and ensure that all Oil Marketing Companies strictly adhere to established fuel pricing regulations.

The association reaffirmed its commitment to advocating fair fuel pricing policies and protecting the interests of drivers and commuters nationwide.
