Former Methodist Presiding Bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, has urged Ghanaians to commit all their plans, resolutions, and personal devotions for the new year into the hands of God, stressing the need to allow divine guidance in all aspects of life.
According to him, individuals and the nation are not on their own and must therefore entrust their wishes and ambitions to God. He emphasized that areas such as travel, work, marriage, education, governance, and even the economy require God’s direction for His will to be done at the individual, family, and national levels.
Most Rev. Dr. Boafo noted that pressure is not new, explaining that biblical history shows people who endured hardship with patience eventually triumphed. He cautioned that yielding to pressure to make rushed or wrong decisions could lead to serious consequences.
He added that the beginning of a new year presents another opportunity for reflection, urging Ghanaians to assess the past year, learn from it, and strive to make better and more purposeful choices in the year ahead.
