The former WBC heavyweight champion is back.

As long as Deontay Wilder has his massive right hand, he will continue to be a major problem in the heavyweight division.

Wilder unleashed the most destructive force in boxing, and it accounted for a scintillating first-round knockout of Robert Helenius at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday night.

it came just over a year since Wilder suffered his second straight knockout loss to Tyson Fury.

After Wilder and Helenius spent the first few moments trying to figure each other out, “The Bronze Bomber” caught his former sparring partner as he was coming in with a right hand, which landed flush to the face and dropped “The Nordic Nightmare” flat on his back for an instant knockout.

With the win, Wilder improves to 43-2-1 with 42 KOs.

“Who’s next?” Wilder told Fox Sports to live in the ring before saying he’d be interested in fighting anyone from unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk to Anthony Joshua. 

The victory was especially sweet considering Wilder was returning to the ring over a year after suffering a second successive defeat by Fury which saw him lose their trilogy.
