“Collaborating with a secular singer comes with conditions” — Margaret Mensah

Ghanaian veteran gospel musician, Margaret Mensah has made a bold and thought-provoking statement on Ahotor Mmre with Obaapa Janee.

When asked by the presenter whether she would accept a collaboration with highlife star Kuami Eugene if he walked in today, Margaret didn’t dodge the question. Her answer was clear — yes, but only under strict terms and conditions.

According to the seasoned gospel musician, a collaboration would only happen if Kuami Eugene is willing to align with her values.

She mentioned that this would include changes in his appearance, such as cutting his hair and adjusting his dressing, to reflect what she believes represents Christ properly.

Margaret emphasised that gospel music is not just about sound or popularity but ministry, character, and representation.

In her view, artists carry responsibility because people learn from what they see, not just what they hear.

She added that if Kuami Eugene agrees to those conditions, the collaboration could even become a divine turning point. “Who knows? God can come through for him through the collaboration,” she noted.

Margaret Mensah is standing firm on her convictions, and she’s not compromising when it comes to representing Christ.
