COACH OTTO ADDO HAS COMPLETE FREEDOM IN MANAGING THE BLACK STARS – GFA CAPO KURT OKRAKU

Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Mr Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku insists Coach Otto Addo’s work as Black Stars coach is devoid of interference.

Speaking to the Parliamentary Select Committee of Sports, Culture and Tourism Kurt Okraku cleared the long standing assertion that executive committee members of the GFA do not give coaches of the national teams free hands to operate.

“The technical teams of our national teams solely select players representing Ghana. Coach Addo has said on platforms that one of the key reasons he accepted to come back is that he is allowed to do the work the way he wants to.”

Okraku assured the committee that player selection for all national teams, including the Black Stars and Black Queens, is solely the responsibility of the technical teams.

“Players representing Ghana are solely selected by the technical teams of our national teams,” he concluded.

The remarks go to critics alleging that the GFA influences coaches and does not give them free hands to operate.
