Coach Charles Sampson satisfied with Black Princesses’ performance in Army Ladies friendly

Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson has expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance following their 1-0 victory over Army Ladies in a friendly match at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Thursday.

Zainab Haruna’s lone goal secured the win, but Sampson was more focused on the team’s overall display than the result.

“I am satisfied with how the girls played. I wasn’t really looking at the result, but rather at how they would play as a team. I could see them replicating some of the things we have been doing in training, and so it’s a good thing. We will keep working on areas that need improvement and also organize these matches as needed to keep them in shape,” he said.

The Black Princesses have been in camp for the past week, fine-tuning their preparations for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers later this year.

Sampson, in his first major test with the team, is prioritising tactical discipline and match sharpness as they gear up for crucial assignments.
