“Churches at Risk of AI Takeover if Christians Remain Silent” – Sonnie Badu Warns

Gospel artist and preacher Sonnie Badu has issued a stark warning about the unchecked rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI), cautioning that if Christians fail to take a stand, AI could soon encroach upon sacred spiritual spaces — including churches.

In a passionate message shared on social media, Badu emphasized the urgent need to strike a balance between technological progress and spiritual authority. He expressed deep concern over how AI could eventually challenge the existence and relevance of God in society.

“Artificial Intelligence will contend with God, and very soon they’ll say God is no longer needed,” he warned.

The “Baba” hitmaker urged believers — whom he called “the sons of God” — to rise and assume spiritual leadership roles in a world increasingly driven by human innovation. Without such action, he believes AI could dominate not only industries but religious institutions as well.

“If we don’t rise, soon even church temples will be taken over by AI,” Badu stated, urging Christians to remain spiritually alert and responsive to the changing times.

Quoting scripture, he added, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying,” stressing the importance of discernment in an age of rapid technological disruption.

Reflecting on the broader implications, Badu noted: “It’s always the creator and inventor that wins — not the people. In this case, what will medical doctors do?”

His message serves as both a warning and a call to action for the faith community to engage meaningfully with the challenges posed by AI while safeguarding the spiritual fabric of the church.
