Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association Cudjoe Fianoo

The Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association Cudjoe Fianoo has stated that, the association will engage the President of the Ghana Football Association and its Executive Council members on the disbursement of the FIFA Covid-19 relief fund

According to Mr Fianoo, the clubs are not entirely happy and have raised concerns over the sharing of the covid-19 fund and will have to engage the FA for more deliberations and clarification

The former CEO of AshantiGold is of the view that, the engagements will help calm nerves as most of the clubs think they have been treated unfairly

“I have heard the agitations of our members even though we are yet to receive the money with some members questioning why GHALCA is getting $2000 but that notwithstanding, looking at how unhappy our members are, we will engage the FA Prez to find out if there’s a possibility to do broader consultations”

“At least they should give us the opportunity to also share our thoughts on this and hopefully come to a decorum”

“There’s the need for the broader consultations because on a lighter side if care is not taken, this can result in third world war”

“Kurt’s administration is a listening one and am confident they will listen but should that fail, we will support whatever the our members will say”

The Ghana League Clubs Association have come under severe scrutiny with some members alleging that they have not rendered accounts for more than five years

An issue that has brought lots of mistrust within the body and the football fraternity in the country whiles some call for the head of the association
