Chairman Joe, the Communication Officer of the Ashaiman Constituency for the NDC and Chairman of the Serial Callers and Texters Association, has called for Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo to be appointed as a Board Chairman, citing his exceptional track record and unwavering dedication to the party.
Ofosu Ampofo, the former National Chairman of the NDC, has been instrumental in supporting the party, especially during their time in opposition. Chairman Joe made this statement during an interview on Ahotor FM’s Adekye Mu Nsem program with Citizen Kofi Owusu.
He emphasized that Ofosu Ampofo’s current role as Political Adviser to Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang does not reflect his true potential. Instead, Chairman Joe has suggested that President John Mahama consider appointing Ofosu Ampofo as a Board Chairman. Such a position, he argues, would better utilize Ofosu Ampofo’s expertise and allow him to secure funding and further strengthen the party’s grassroots.
Interestingly, Dr. Ofosu Ampofo is one of ten individuals appointed by President Mahama to the Office of the Vice President, where they have been assigned various roles to support the “Resetting Ghana” agenda. While some have voiced their dissatisfaction with Ofosu Ampofo’s new role on social media, Chairman Joe’s endorsement underscores the former National Chairman’s value to both the party and its grassroots supporters.
