CAF U-20: Black Satellites Seek First Win Against Senegal in CAF U-20 AFCON Clash

Black Statellites take on Senegal U-20 side in their second game of group C of the CAF U-20 AFCON in Egypt later tonight.

Desmond Ofei and his charges are looking for their first win after they were held to a 1-1 draw to DR Congo in the opening match last Thursday.

Ofei admitted the team lacked the cutting edge needed to secure victory and hoping his boys will be clinical against Senegal later today.

“We should have finished our chances,” Ofei told journalists at the post-match press conference. “We need to be more clinical in front of goal.”

“The boys fought hard, and I’m proud of the effort. DR Congo were very aggressive and tough, so we expected a difficult game,” he said.

With the other Group C game between Senegal and the Central African Republic also ending 1-1, Ofei believes the group remains wide open—but insists Ghana must improve in attack to stand a chance.

“This is a strong group, and every point counts,” he stressed. “But we will keep fighting for qualification. We believe in our chances.”

Match kick off is 18:00GMT
