In his eighth address to the nation the President, His Excellency Nana Akuffo -Addo promised to invest heavily in the Health Sector due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
This according to the President, that would be the biggest infrastructural project to be undertaken in history of the country.
The President said the government will soon commence with the 88 district and 6 regional hospitals.
Many people in a sharp rebuttal to the President statement have criticized the President of always promising and failing to honour them. They have even criticized the process of building let alone finishing them.
A Development Planner, Richard Elimas in an interview on Ahotor news, said it is impossible for the President to construct 88 hospitals within a year unless the government has funds else to rely on.
He further said, when it comes to emergency cases, emergency procurement law gives a chance to sole sources and there is no need for advertisement but rather government selects contractor to build hospital if only there is enough funds.
He urged the media to be patient and wait for government to tell for the financial outlay and be able to criticize effectively.
