The Central Bank has warned commercial banks of the revocation of their operating licenses should the rate of bank fraud in their operations are not brought under control .
Bank fraud over the years has been on the increase raising concerns within the society.
However, some have tagged the Bank of Ghana of their inability to deal with the menace due to the bashing the Bank has received over the collapse of some local banks.
Over 2, 295 fraud cases were recorded in 2019.
According to the Head of Financial Stability Unit of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Joseph France, the Bank would hesitate to crack the whip to bring sanity into the banking system to protect the image of the Bank.
