The Member of Parliament for Akim oda constituency Hon Alexander Kwesi Aquah says the many road accidents on our roads is as a result of the shady works of mechanic’s.
According to the lawmaker, mechanics mostly turn to continuously fixing same problem yet unsolved.
“Sometimes I ask myself if they are really concerned and has ever considered this can affect their families too because as that unwell car steps out their relatives can join and anything can happen”
He said he blame mechanic’s for the many road accident because they do not do the right things and called for the act to stop.
He added that we cannot always rely on the law enforcement agencies to stop road accident
According to him the fight of road accident must be tackled on broader means.
He called for a severe fight on road accident as we did for covid 19.
He said until such is done we will keep marking time on road accident.
This comes after report by the National Road Safety Authority reveled that about 1,443 persons have died through road accident in the first 6month of the year.
