Black Stars Vow to Reclaim Ghanaians’ Trust with World Cup Qualifier Wins – Dr Randy Abbey
Dr. Randy Abbey, Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, has expressed confidence that the senior national team will bounce back from their recent setbacks and win their upcoming World Cup qualifier matches against Chad and Madagascar.
The Black Stars have faced intense backlash from Ghanaians following their dismal performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, where they recorded three defeats and three draws. However, Dr. Abbey believes that the team has the potential to regain the trust of the Ghanaian public with positive results in the upcoming games.
“We, the Management Committee, have confidence in the team, and we believe that we will win to regain the trust of Ghanaians,” Dr. Abbey assured in an interview with Accra-based Original FM. “The team is focused, and we’re optimistic that they’ll deliver the desired results.”
Ghana will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium later today, with kickoff scheduled at 19:00 GMT. The team will then travel to Morocco to face Madagascar on Monday at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium.
With the support of the Management Committee and the determination of the players, the Black Stars are poised to reclaim their winning form and restore the faith of the Ghanaian people.
