Coach Otto Addo has reacted to the Black Stars Group H defeat to Portugal on Thursday in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars were handed a 3:2 loss by Portugal in the second match of the day in Group H. Ronaldo scored from the spot after recess to put Portugal ahead after he was fouled in the box by defender Mohammed Salisu, a decision the former Ghana international disagrees with.
He expressed his displeasure after the referee’s decision during the post-conference.
“The referee gave a penalty which was not a penalty. Everyone saw that. Why? Because it’s Ronaldo or something?” He quizzed “If somebody scores a goal, congratulations. But this was a gift. A special gift from the referee.” Otto Addo concluded.
Ghana will face South Korea on Monday in the second Group H match at 1 pm.
