The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the Black Stars will face Germany in a high-profile friendly match on March 30, 2026, in Stuttgart, as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana has been drawn into Group L, alongside Panama, England, and Croatia. Their 2026 campaign kicks off against Panama on June 17 in Toronto, followed by a clash with England in Boston on June 23. The group stage concludes with a match against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
This will be Ghana’s fifth World Cup appearance, with previous campaigns in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022. The Black Stars’ most memorable run came in South Africa in 2010, when they reached the quarter-finals.

Coach Otto Addo is looking to use this friendly match to test his team’s strength against a formidable opponent. Germany, a four-time World Cup winner, will provide a tough test for the Black Stars as they prepare for their World Cup campaign.
