Black $herif’s new album, “Iron Boy” is not nice – Bongo Ideas

Ghanaian controversial commentator Bongo Ideas took to Facebook with a scathing review of Black Sherif’s latest album “Iron Boy” is not nice.

In a post that quickly went viral, Bongo Ideas dismissed the album as underwhelming and claimed that “The Villain I Never Was” remains the artist’s only solid body of work.

“Black Sherif’s new album is not nice. The Villain I Never Was is still the best. After all the tours and bragging, he still needs Shatta Wale to trend,” the post read.

But Bongo didn’t stop there. He took a jab at Sherif’s fashion choices, comparing his style to a “lost treasure hunter” and a “human padlock” because of the rapper’s signature chains. “Then you come and tell Ghanaians you are ‘selling Ghana.’ Selling Ghana to who? The Avengers?” he quipped, sending the internet into fits of laughter and outrage in equal measure.

In a move that surprised many, Bongo also sided with Shatta Wale, referencing the dancehall king’s recent podcast remarks about Black Sherif. “What Shatta Wale said on that podcast was facts!” he added, without detailing which part of the podcast he was referring to—but fans quickly connected the dots to Shatta’s usual criticisms of Sherif’s global ambitions and image.

To top it all off, Bongo compared Sherif’s album unfavorably to others, claiming: “I won’t lie, Kweku Smoke’s album is better than this. Even Kwame Yogot would have done better.”

The post has stirred intense reactions online. While some fans agreed with Bongo, many others came to Black Sherif’s defense, arguing that his sound is unique and continues to evolve with international appeal.

As of now, neither Black Sherif nor his team has responded publicly to the pos.
