Before you thought of “digitalization”: there was yahoo boys – Solomon Owusu fires Dr Bawumia.

Former National Communications Team Member of the ruling NPP, Solomon Owusu, who recently joined the Movement for Change Party, has criticized the NPP’s flagbearer, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, over his focus on digitalization.

Owusu argued that Dr. Bawumia’s digitalization agenda is not groundbreaking, pointing out that youth in local communities had been engaged in digital practices long before Bawumia’s push for a “digital Ghana.”

He questioned the Vice President’s claim to pioneering digitalization in the country, expressing disappointment over what he sees as an overemphasis on the initiative amid pressing issues.

In a media interview, Owusu emphasized the urgent challenges facing the country, including youth unemployment and poverty, suggesting that the current administration’s focus is misplaced.

He warned that Ghana could stagnate without serious policy changes to address these socioeconomic problems.

Owusu also urged Ghanaians to reconsider their support for the NPP in the upcoming elections, arguing that the party has failed to deliver on its promises and meet the needs of the people.
