“Beauty Isn’t Rare Anymore; People Buy It” – Mary Remmy Njoku Advises Women

Nigerian actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku has urged women to prioritize intelligence and self-improvement over physical beauty, emphasizing that true value lies in personal growth.

In a candid Instagram post on March 14, 2025, Njoku pointed out that beauty is no longer a rare trait, as cosmetic enhancements have made physical transformations easily accessible. However, she stressed that intelligence and skills remain invaluable.

“Beauty isn’t rare anymore. It’s no longer special to be beautiful—anyone with money can change their appearance. What truly sets you apart is your mind. Invest in your brain, develop your skills, and build knowledge. Because while you can buy a new body, you can’t buy a new brain,” she wrote.

She also criticized the growing trend of cosmetic surgeries, particularly Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL), stating that physical enhancements are now commonplace.

“BBL is buy one, get one free these days. You can’t alter your brain, but you can develop it. So while you’re busy getting a nose job and buying new boobs, make sure you’re also investing in personal growth. A BBL without a brain? That’s a disaster waiting to happen. SUBSTANCE over SURFACE,” she added.

Njoku’s message resonated with many of her followers, who shared their thoughts in the comments:

“Finally, someone said it! Even if beauty opens doors, without intelligence, you won’t last in the room.”

“Take home lesson—you can’t alter your brain, but you can develop it!”

“Some women won’t like this one ooo, but it’s the truth.”

“Very true!”

Her message serves as a powerful reminder that while physical beauty fades, intelligence and self-development remain lifelong assets.
