‘Be bold and take leadership position – NALAG to women

The program facilitator of National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG), Daniel Appiah has undescored the need for women in the country to push harder to take leadership roles since their input can help in building the nation.

He explained that, some women for fear of being tagged with certain names in society fail to take leadership roles. Some, he said are also distracted with domestic and life activities

Mr Appiah indicated, these are some of the reasons NALAG is taking steps towards educating women, empowering and encouraging them to see the need to also push higher.

He made this remarks at a training organised by NALAG in the Western Region for women on the need for them to build capacity to take high positions when the need arises.

The District Chief Executive, Mpohor Ignatius Asaar Mensah also urged women to have confidence in themselves in bringing up ideas to develop the country because they have a part to play in nation building
