Bawumia Should Go and Learn from Ato Forson – Isaac Adongo, Chairman Finance Committee

The Chairman of the Finance Committee of Parliament, Hon. Isaac Adongo, has taken a swipe at Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, urging him to “go and learn” from the Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.

Hon. Adongo criticized Dr. Bawumia’s handling of the economy during his tenure as the head of the Economic Management Team, stating that his policies lacked the depth and coherence needed to stabilize the country.

“Dr. Bawumia, with all due respect, has failed in managing this economy. If he wants to understand how to run a stable and credible financial system, he should go and learn from Dr. Ato Forson, who has demonstrated sound fiscal responsibility and economic intelligence both in government and in opposition,” Adongo declared.

He praised Dr. Ato Forson’s expertise and leadership, especially in navigating Ghana through difficult IMF negotiations and pushing for accountability in economic governance.

According to the Chairman of Finance Committee in Parliament, Hon. Isaac Adongo, the state of the economy in the last eight years with high inflation, a weakened cedi, and rising public debt exposes the limitations of Bawumia’s economic credentials.
