Aviation Can Thrive in Ghana with the Right Attention – African Aviation, Expert Sukh Mann

African aviation expert Sukh Mann has expressed optimism about the future of aviation in Ghana, emphasizing that the sector has the potential to thrive if given the proper attention and strategic investment.

Speaking during a media engagement, Mann highlighted Ghana’s strategic location in West Africa, its stable political environment, and growing economy as key factors that position the country to become a regional aviation hub.
However, he cautioned that success would depend on a dedicated focus from both the government and private stakeholders.

“Aviation can definitely thrive in Ghana,” Mann stated, “but it needs proper attention — that means improved infrastructure, supportive policies, investment in training, and strong partnerships between public and private sectors.”

He pointed out that while Ghana has made commendable progress in recent years — such as modernizing the Kotoka International Airport and attracting new airline routes — more needs to be done to unlock the industry’s full potential.
Key areas include enhancing air traffic management systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering local aviation talent.

Mann also urged policymakers to consider aviation as a critical driver of economic growth, tourism, and regional connectivity.
He noted that with the right vision, Ghana could not only boost its domestic aviation capacity but also serve as a gateway to the rest of Africa and beyond.

African aviation industry is undergoing transformation, with initiatives like the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM) aiming to improve connectivity and efficiency across the continent.

African aviation expert Sukh Mann believe that with focused attention and sustained effort in the Ghanaian aviation sector, the skies are the limit.
