The Automobile Dealers Union of Ghana (ADUG) has rolled out an immediate 15% average cut in vehicle prices nationwide, delivering real relief to buyers.
This bold move stems from the Ghana cedi’s recent stability against the US dollar and the government’s scrapping of the Covid-19 levy. In a press release today, ADUG confirmed its members are passing these gains straight to consumers, honoring a pledge made months ago.
“Our members have acted swiftly and responsibly, turning exchange rate stability into fairer prices for Ghanaians , no room for profiteering,” the statement declared. National President Eric Kwaku Boateng signed off, praising buyers’ patience amid past pressures like volatile forex, high duties, shipping woes, and global supply snarls.
The cuts cover new, hybrid, electric, and second-hand “home-used” vehicles, easing the sting of rising transport costs. “We remain committed to consumers and Ghana’s economy,” Boateng added.
