National Communication Team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Margaret Ansei (Magoo) has said what will it benefit the country for spending too much money on the government’s free SHS policy but loses quality in the education sector.
According to her, everyone will be happy to go to school for free but the kind of teachings that are been given to the future leaders of the country are poor to need more attention.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Ahotor FM, the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Suhum said, now lectures and professors in the various universities across the country are complaining that, they are suffering because they need to come down to a certain level and teach university students like SHS wards.
In her submission, she made a point that the country’s education system has been messed up and needs to be checked for the better.
“We are all Ghanaians and we are parents, who wouldn’t like a child to go to school for free, but at the end of the day if you go to school and come back and cannot write your name what is the point” she added.
