National Organizer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Yaw Asani Tano has said the $3 billion IMF deal is a retirement package for some people in government.
According to him, he emphasized that some of the money is meant for construction hence officials can connive with contractors and dupe the country through such processes.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Ahotor FM, Asani Tano called on the government to disburse the money rightly for the betterment of the country since it’s a debt for us in the future to pay.
In his interview, he called on the government to also invest the money in the productive sector no matter the conditionalities of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Again, he said it’s difficult to have hope in the government as he introduces new taxes on production.
