The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tain Constituency (MP) in the Bono region, Sulemana Adama has said the delegates of the NDC will do the right thing by electing former President John Mahama as the flagbearer for the party ahead of the 2024 elections.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 Fm’s morning show ‘Ade Kyi Mu Nsem‘, Hon. Sulemana Adama said out of the 4 contestants vying to be elected as the flagbearer of the party, Mr. John Dramani mahama stands tall among them all.
Former President John Dramani Mahama has begun the second day of his tour of the Bono Region.
The campaign which began on Monday will take him to the Dormaa West, Dormaa Central, Dormaa East, Sunyani West and Sunyani East constituencies.
On his first day, Mr. Mahama visited and interacted with branch and constituency executives as well as chiefs and party supporters in Wenchi, Tain, Banda, Jaman North and South, Berekum West and Berekum East.
Mr. Mahama is campaigning for votes to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to victory in the 2024 elections. Addressing the delegates, the former President thanked them for their support.
Hon. Adama said when Mr. Mahama came to the Tain Constituency, the number of people who came to greet him shows he is the right person to lead the NDC into the 2024 elections.
He said Ghana needs an experienced hand to turn the economic woes around and among all the 4 contestants, Mr. Mahama will be the sure bet for the NDC to win power in 2024.
The NDC is expected to have their primaries in all constituencies across the country to elect both the NDC presidential candidate and parliamentary candidates for the 2024 general elections on the 13th May,2023.
